Working Student Internship

At AliBoo Farm (ABF), we believe that one of the best ways to learn is by “doing”. In an effort to assist interested persons in furthering their knowledge, education and skill level with respect to not only riding, but also caring for horses, we offer the Working Student Program. This program is designed to enable an individual to enhance their skills to the extent that they may be recognized for their aptitude and capabilities both on and off the horse.

 Monthly Course Offerings

“Covering The Basics"

It’s true...many horses do in fact dunk their hay in the water bucket, much like we dunk our cookies in milk. But why? There are many reasons why horses may do this and other “bizarre” routines. For this reason we are offering monthly education sessions to help answer these, as well as other types of horse related questions. Do you board your horse? Do you own a horse? Do you take lessons? Are you the parent of a child that rides? Have you always wanted to learn about horses? If you answered YES to any of these questions, then you are eligible to enroll!

Course topics will change each month, following is a sample of one  month's course curriculum. 

• Week 1: Nutrition
• Week 2: Housing
• Week 3: Equipment
• Week 4: Health Care
