Ground Training

Starting young horses is alot like raising young children.  It is really all about respect, trust, support and of course, patience. For that reason, we take great care in selecting the individuals who handle and care for the young horses here at AliBoo Farm.  Our ground staff are well versed in safe work practices for both horse and handler.  From an early age we handle and get to know our horses.  We recognize that each horse has  their own unique attributes which warrant an individualized program with respect to nutritional needs, turnout time, grooming, leading, etc..  In this regard, we are confident that our horses are set up for future success, regardless of what might be expected of them.  Many hours are spent researching and observing training techniques employed by ohter professional handlers, inlcuding those outside the Hunter/Jumper discipline.  It is this broad minded approach that we believe also sets our program apart from others and contributes to our success in raising well mannered, confident horses.   We welcome the opportunity to assist you with your young horse; options include trailering in your horse, boarding here at AliBoo for several months or even onsite consultation at your facility.
