Where Champions Are Made.

Trust The Process

Everything we do begins with the end; defining the vision, making a plan, and achieving those goals. This means knowing what it takes to develop a complete horse from the ground up that will prosper in the long-term. Even from their first moments of life, education is necessary for our horses to be solid citizens, learning lessons not only from their fellow herd mates, but also those that handle them. Our process sets the building blocks to do what it takes mentally and physically. Formulating a program with strong fundamentals creates an environment of trust and willingness to learn and building on that foundation creates a connection with the mind and body. We recognize that every horse is unique and most often learn and develop on different timelines, not unlike humans. In today's fast-paced sport, we believe it's vital to take the time to be methodical and not rush our horses before they are ready. Our horses have a lifetime ahead of them, and our number one goal is to make sure they achieve success without costing them health and happiness.

Fundamentals

01.
Forwardness

Forward, willing movement is the first pillar of a young horse’s education. When a horse can confidently step off the leg and move forward, balance, straightness, and later development become possible. A forward horse is safer, clearer in its understanding, and ready to learn.

02.
Pressure & Response

Young horses learn through simple cause and effect: pressure asks, release rewards. The crucial timing of this release the moment they respond correctly builds clarity, confidence, and lightness. This creates a horse that engages and listens to soft aids instead of resisting strong ones.

03.
Calmness & Consistence

Training has no room for frustration, ego, or emotion—horses read energy instantly. Be honest and sincere in your intention and continuously strive to learn. Providing clear expectations, steady reactions, and patience help the young horse stay relaxed and willing. Staying calm and consistent creates opportunity for the horse learn faster and trust deeper.

Development

01.
Use of Body

Proper biomechanics drive power, efficiency, and jumping form. Through progressive conditioning & methodical training, we teach each horse to lift through the shoulder, engage the hind end, and carry weight correctly. The result provides a stronger and more capable athlete with improved scope, adjustability, and overall rideability—qualities that directly influence future marketability and competitive success.

02.
Suppleness

Developing suppleness is key to long-term soundness and athletic potential. Our program focuses on elasticity, balance, and fluid movement, allowing the horse to stay relaxed while engaging correctly through the body. This builds upon forwardness as energy creates lightness. This foundation not only enhances the performance across disciplines, but also supports longevity—an essential factor in protecting and growing an equine investment.

03.
Overcoming Challenges

Every athlete encounters hurdles, both physically and mentally. Our program emphasizes in building the confidence, resilience, and problem-solving skills. that ensures each horse can learn to stay focused and forward in a high-pressure environments and new situations. By constructively navigating these challenges, our horses become more reliable, trainable, and safe—traits that reduce risks and increase long-term career success. We strongly believe in keeping it simple and that patience brings peace and motivation.

"Taylor has a natural gift for developing young horses to their best potential in a way that is not only thorough, but also incredibly mindful of each horse as an individual. It is difficult as a breeder or owner in North America to find quality riders with the ability to really understand a horse and its own personal approach of development rather than forcing the horse to work in a one-size-fits-all program. Taylor has started from the ground and/or continued the development of several of our homebred youngsters now and she consistently shows patience, transparency, thoughtfulness and professionalism with all of them. Taylor has a real passion for the sport that is clearly seen in her dedication to each horse in her program."

"I have had the most incredible experience with the Aliboo team. From purchasing young jumpers, training and care, AliBoo Farm has exceeded all expectations. Taylor is a wealth of knowledge for breeding and producing horses and uses all of her knowledge to help every step of the way. I have never met a trainer more invested in the success of all her horses and riders and she is so kind in explaining every aspect.  Taylor's talent lies in not only producing young jumpers to have success at the top of the sport, but the way she gives the horses an unparalleled level of confidence leads them to have success with any amateur or professional in the show ring. There is no one better in the business."

Lori Sawyer-Lyons, FL

I recommend AliBoo Farm to anyone who has a young horse the would like to see excel in the show ring and reach his or her horses fullest potential. Cara Dayton, MD

"Taylor and the team at AliBoo did a wonderful job giving my two unbroken five year olds a comprehensive education base to continue their careers. Not only did they learn to be ridden, jump, and show, they also came home hacking out, cross-tying for brushing/bathing/clipping, and behaving for the vet and farrier. I completely trust AliBoo to do right by the horses and their care and training, and I wholeheartedly endorse Taylor and the entire AliBoo team!"

Karyn Holstead, IL

When my daughter first wanted to take horseback riding lessons, I was excited she was getting into something I had once loved—but I never expected how deeply involved she’d become. Looking back, I wouldn’t change a thing. We were so lucky to find AliBoo Farm, where she learned not just how to ride, but how to care for and respect the horses. Taylor taught her real riding skills—not just to sit on a horse, but to truly understand and communicate with it. Taylor is like a horse whisperer, and her dedication made it easy to trust her when we decided to buy a young horse. I knew Mary Helen had been well-trained and that Taylor would continue to guide us. The quality of horses at AliBoo reflects the time and care Taylor puts into each one, and the honesty and support we experienced made buying from them an easy and rewarding decision.
